How Hotels Can Turn Wellness Facilities Into Revenue-Generating Services

Most hotel wellness facilities are treated as an amenity that guests may or may not use. The properties that make wellness profitable do one thing differently: they sell an outcome, not access.

Give the guest a starting number

A VO₂ Max, body composition or biological-age assessment converts a vague intention into a result the guest wants to improve. It is also a chargeable service on day one of a stay.

Build a programme, not a schedule of treatments

The assessment should determine which recovery and training technologies the guest uses, in what order and how often — delivered by staff following an SOP rather than personal preference.

Close the loop

Reassessment at the end of a stay or programme gives the guest evidence and gives the property a natural renewal, referral or remote follow-up sale.

Train the team before opening, not after

Pre-opening is when SOPs, hiring and technology training are cheap to fix. After opening, every gap is visible to guests.
